EUROPAN 18 RE-SOURCING/Ressourcen neu denken - Preisträger und Anerkennung

Der Europan-18-Wettbewerb ist ein europaweiter Wettbewerb für junge Architekt:innen und Planer:innen unter 40 Jahren. Für das diesjährige Thema Re-sourcing reichten 804 Teams ihre Arbeiten für 47 Areale in 12 europäischen Städten ein. Zwei Teams aus Erfurt waren für den Standort Regensburg unter 22 Einreichungen erfolgreich. Ihre Vorschläge für das 107 ha grosse Projektgebiet konnte die renommiert besetzte nationale Jury überzeugen.

Das Gewinner-Projekt „zam wachsn“ wurde von den FHE Master-Studentinnen der Architektur Mara Foerster, Maxima Schad und Hannah Andree und den FHE Master-Studierenden der Landschaftsarchitektur Johanna Kern, Moritz Molitor, Sabeth Rosenbrück und Susanne Weppler bearbeitet. Die Anerkennung erhielt das Projekt „Greencitypuzzle“ welches von Yannick Güdter (Alumni FHE) und den FHE Master-Studierenden der Architektur Emely Mathes und Julia Hohmann sowie den FHE Master-Studierenden der Landschaftsarchitektur Raphael Stark, Simon Lach und Tilmann Ratajczak eingereicht wurde. Für den Standort Regensburg wurde weiterhin eine Lobende Erwähnung vergeben.

Wir freuen uns sehr, dass die Projekte, die in der Kooperation der Studiengänge Architektur - Prof.in Petra Wollenberg und Landschaftsarchitektur – Prof.in Inga Hahn entstanden sind, einen so grossen internationalen Erfolg verzeichnen können. Wir gratulieren den Preisträger:innen sehr herzlich!

Auszüge aus der Jury Bewertung: The proposal ‘zam wachsn’ explores the implementation of the future new district beyond the notion of living together, exploring the idea of ‘growing together’, which, translated into the Bavarian dialect, is the title given to the project: ‘zam wachsn’. (…) The project is based on a careful analysis of the existing environment from the territorial scale to the scale of proximity, interweaving scales by means of the central new ecocorridor which crosses the area from west to east. (…) The jury highlighted the morphological adaptation to the very different existing urban contexts. The district is organized into six different neighbourhoods based on a wide range of courtyard typologies that accommodate various uses and ways of living. (…) Each of these centralities is highlighted by a small and slim tower as an echo of historical towers in Regensburg. (…) The jury valued very positively the adaptation of the project to the built and non-built pre-existing elements, the organization of the new district along the central eco-corridor as a resource-oriented urbanism, and the proposed implementation process, which seems flexible and feasible at the same time. The project „GreenCityPuzzle“ impresses with its innovative approach in line with the Europan theme of ‘Re-Sourcing’ and the specific context of northern Regensburg between Wutzlhofen and Haslbach. The independent urban design features eight unusually large, porous block edges. These are not closed city blocks, but open structures that combine to form large-scale squares. At the heart of the design are the spacious green inner areas, around which loosely grouped building structures are arranged. (…) The jury rated the east-west oriented neighbourhood centre very positively, as it is well connected to transport and clearly bundles public functions such as schools and supply facilities in the centre.
